Tilden Park- Botany ID and Herb Walk
Sunday, April 6, 2008 10 am - 5 pm
Instructor: Autumn Summers
Cost: $85.00
Learn plant identification from a botanical and scientific perspective. Spend time learning to recognize and identify native and non-native plants in the park based upon their individual anatomy and structure.
The day will include "keying" out plants by their structural systems and characteristics observing such traits as common leaf arrangements, flowering patterns and the like. The student will leave with understanding the basics of the plant identification process to apply to any natural setting. This class is suited for the novice herbalist and anyone interested in plants.
